Every frequent camper out there likes the idea of packing light when going on their camping trips, which is why we’re always on the lookout for high quality and compact camping gear. One such piece of gear is the G2 Bison Bag, a combination of a hammock and a sleeping bag. Since this combines the gear you require to spend the night in the outdoors without completely freezing, you don’t have to worry about packing a blanket, because just one blanket can take up a lot of space. The G2 Bison Bag is the successor of the G1 model, launched as a part of a Kickstarter campaign by a company called Clayborne Outdoors, and it features a few excellent improvements.
The design of the G2 required something new, which is why Clayborne Outdoors decided to change the materials used to make it. A switch to 170T polyester was made and now both the hammock and sleeping bag components are made out of this type of polyester. This allows the entire G2 Bison Bag to flex as a single-piece construction and reduce the issue with separation between the bag and the hammock.
Layers and Features
Another pretty great improvement is the addition of a gap between the bag and hammock which creates an extra insulating layer. The first layer is the bag and it keeps the heat inside while the second is now the gap which creates a small hot air space. The third layer is the actual hammock and with all three doing an excellent job keeping the heat in, you won’t feel the cold during the night. In addition to these changes, you will be glad to know that it can fit into a sleeping bag sack despite the fact that it’s a 2-in-1 product.
The G2 Bison Bag can be your most used camping gear if you decide to support its Kickstarter campaign and pre-order one for just $110. Whether you decide to use it as a standard piece of camping gear or just as a hammock for relaxing in your backyard, rest assured that you will be getting a high quality product.
