Airstream introduced their new Basecamp, a lightweight trailer designed for adventure and comfort. You can pack everything you need inside and get ready to hit the road. You can tow it with different mid-sized SUVs.
With a base weight of 2,585 pounds, Basecamp is probably the lightest trailer Airstream has produced. Also, the design is perfect for the outdoors. Firstly, it features an aluminum structure that provides strength. There’s the new aerodynamic roof profile and windows that provide a panoramic view of the outdoors.
The interior features marine-grade flooring and different decors- River Rock, Red Rock and Warm Stone. Inside, everything is made to maximize the space and keep things clean. The solar pre-wire kit takes care of power. You’ll also find plenty USB ports and a wireless Bose Bluetooth speaker.
Airstream Basecamp has ventilation, hot water, a refrigerator, cabin heating systems and lockable technology dock. The rear of the trailer allows you to load gear, so you don’t have to use the front door. There’s also plenty of storage space inside, a fold-down sink and optional patio and rear tents. Check out the video below.
One of the smart storage systems is the bench that can fit a lot of things and at the same time be converted into a bed. The benches can sit five people when folded and when unfolded, two people can comfortably sleep. You can even add two tables inside for eating. Not to forget a small restroom and shower that’s very space efficient.
