Happier Camper is proud to present the HC1 trailer, currently a prototype model which will soon be launched into production and we wouldn’t want it any other way. There are very few trailers which offer the versatility which HC1 has. By combining amazing looks and spectacular interior design the fellas at Happier Camper have made something you just don’t see every day. This camper sports an awesome vintage half-and-half color look which makes it reminiscent of the old VW Camper Van. Made entirely of fiberglass and weighing 1,100 lb (500 kg), the HC1 can be towed by a lot of cars and its low weight allows for reducing fuel usage. It can also easily fit in standard parking spaces because it measures 13 feet in length and 7 feet in width. You can enter it through the side door or the hatch on the rear of the trailer. Each side is equipped with large windows that allow a lot of light to enter. This brings us to the interior which is the main selling point of almost all trailers.
In this case, we are not sure where to start with the interior since it doesn’t have a fixed arrangement of its components. Happier Camper’s HC1 took a different approach to the whole component arrangement with its flexible Adaptiv modular interior system. This system allows you to customize the arrangement of its interior components in whatever way you would like, whenever you would like. It has six base components: bench, kitchenette, table, cushion, floor panel and lid.
These six pieces are easily slotted into the floor so you can make the combination which suits you best. You have the option of making the interior into sleeping quarters for five people, a combination of a seating area and kitchenette, a bed and kitchenette combo or just an empty space in case you need your trailer for hauling stuff. You can even use these components outdoors. We could talk about the combinations for days, since the options are limitless with the HC1.
Of course, there are features of this trailer which are fixed, such as the built-in USB and AC power sockets, tablet docking station and Bose sound system. The HC1 is also equipped with a 100W solar panel for generating power and a heated shower. What more could you possibly need? Happier Camper’s HC1 travel trailer has it all: versatility, amazing appearance and functionality.
Being a prototype model which has yet to be moved to the production line, all who are interested in this awesome trailer will have to wait a bit. However, Happier Camper offers a pre-order option and you can sign up on their list here. [via]
