‘WIND’ WICKER FLOOR FAN | BY GERVASONI

You would be hard-pressed to find a fan that doesn’t look like a hideous centerpiece in your room, sticking out like a sore thumb, and doing its best not to blend in with the décor. An inconspicuous wicker floor fan called Wind L, designed by the British designer Jasper Startup and produced by the eminent Italian company Gervasoni founded in 1882 as a small wicker weaving workshop, is as subtle as a fan can be.

The switch-blade Wind L fan is a charming fusion of high-technology and good old-fashioned craftsmanship. It is made from handwoven dark pulut (Indonesian word for wicker or rattan) and has a chrome finish motor. Although being compact in size and taking up very little room, this eco-friendly ventilator is powerful enough to bring the temperature in the room down by a few notches. You can place Wind L on the floor or spread a few of them around.

The fan comes in two versions: Large 20”(50cm) tall x 20”(50cm) wide x 24”(60cm) deep and Small 13”(32cm) tall x 13”(32cm) wide x 14”(36cm) deep.
