Yamaha’s MT-10 Naked R1 Motorcycle Is Dark And Mighty
Not that long ago we talked about the remarkable BMW’s brand new G 310 R bike and now Yamaha decided to shake things up a bit. We present you the dark and powerful Yamaha MT-10 Naked R1.
This motorcycle looks like something Batman would be proud to have in his cave. If you remember the Yamaha’s YZF-R1 racebike you will realize that this MT-10 Naked R1 is pretty much the same thing, but without accessories that made YZF-R1 so beautiful. This one is stripped to the basic, rugged and powerful look. Besides the mighty and cool look, this bike has to offer so much more when it comes to performance.
It possesses the glorious YZF-R1 derived 998cc CP4 cross-plane engine with 4 cylinders. The power figures are still unknown, but the experts are expecting this engine to produce up to 165-170bhp.
Regarding the frame and built, this bike consists of a very light aluminum Deltabox main frame, that is very easy to control while driving. Also, MT-10 has a short 1400mm wheelbase for extraordinary agility. This will provide you with needed stability during high speeds.
Since we’re talking about high speeds, you shouldn’t be worried about the braking. High specification ABS brakes with 320mm floating discs in front and a 220mm disc on the rear end will slow this puppy down real fast and completely safe.
Fully adjustable high specification suspension will allow you to make this bike as comfortable as you like. MT-10 Naked R1 is also equipped with LCD dashboard that’ll provide you with all the necessary information during your ride, such as speedometer, fuel gauge, odometer, gear position, mode information, etc. One of the new and exciting options that Yamaha installed is the cruise control in 4th, 5th and 6th gears between 31mph and 112mph.
This dark, gothic and mighty masterpiece of a bike will arrive in April 2016, and it will cost somewhere around $15.111. So, if you’re a bike lover, you should start saving right now for this bad boy. [via]
