Wool Chore Coat | By Apolis
Lately, we’ve had the opportunity to witness the indigo-dyed denim and canvas enjoy great popularity, and the trend seems to go on. Apolis is a manufacturer who has taken this into consideration but wanted to create something a little different in the form of the Wool Chore Coat. The classic indigo color is now mixed with good old-fashioned wool to bring you more comfort. The combination of 60% Cotton and 30% Wool provides subtle contrast and variations in color and texture.
The Wool Chore Coat features a classic workwear silhouette in a blend of Italian wool and cotton fabric. The manufacturer has done his best to prevent indigo dye bleeding, but to provide beautiful and dramatic fading effect over time. Wool has been a neglected material in the industry so far, but it’s started to take over the market again. It’s a material mostly associated with the winter, the cold, and scratchiness, but it’s actually a great natural material to work with.
The wool used for the Wool Chore Coat is Italian 13.5 Oz. wool and it has different versions, including indigo, black, olive, and charcoal. To make sure there’s no or little dye bleeding it would be best to wash the jacket once before wearing it. The finishing details that make this coat great and unique are fallen buffalo horn fisheye buttons, four front pockets, a hidden inside pocket, and antique nickel reinforcement rivets.
The Wool Chore Coat’s highly practical as it’s durable and has many pockets to fit whatever you want to carry with you. The hidden inside pocket is great for storing your cell phone or wallet. The features that add the charm to this rugged wool jacket are the rounded collar, pocket flaps, and raglan shoulder construction. Try it out with different outfits, but we think it’ll work best with a variety of jeans.
