$24.95

Our ability to make fire has given us everything from the start of civilization to the technological era that we find ourselves in. Every camper, or hobbyist survivalist, also knows that the ability to create fire, is a life-saving skill. Thankfully, getting that perfect inferno in a survival situation has never been easier. This is all thanks to the Vargo Ultimate Fire Starter!

Lightweight, easy to use, and packable, this device is truly an amazing fire starter.

So, if you are getting yourself some new camping gear, or looking for something to add to your survival kit, the Vargo has to be in it.

Vargo unextended and extended.

When packed up, Vargo only measures 6 inches in length. When the bellows are extended, it can reach up to 18 inches.

The Vargo features a durable stainless steel construction that will never tarnish. The beauty of this device lies in the fact that it has an attached ferrocerium striker and an integrated ferrocerium rod. When struck, the ferrocerium sparks can burn as hot as 5000⁰. Essentially, that’s enough heat to light up wet wood.

Vargo Ferrocerium Striker and Rod

The integrated ferrocerium rod and striker allows you to create sparks that are hot enough to even light wet wood.

As soon as you have a spark going, simply extend the Vargo and you instantly have an 18” bellows. The bellows allows you to blow air into the fire to oxygenate the combustion process. At 18” this is also far enough to keep your eyebrows intact as you create your furnace. When packed up, the Vargo only measures 0.5 x 0.5 x 6 inches and it only weighs 1.8 ounces.

Vargo with the ferrocerium rod pulled out of the bellows.

The rod is stored by securely screwing it into the bellows. It also acts as the clip.

In addition to this, the Vargo also comes with a convenient carrying clip. This allows you to carry it on your backpack, belt or anything else that it can clip to.
