URBAN SURVIVAL PACK | BY RYAN ROMANES
This product may seem strange because survival kits are usually meant to be used in the wilderness, but designer from New Zealand Ryan Romanes took a different approach with his educational Urban Survival Pack meant to be used to teach children about urban survival as well as agriculture.
The entire kit is placed in an acrylic and sterling box. It features 12 cardboard tubes, a small gardening set with a rake, trowel and spade, an emergency shelter and various seeds that can be planted in soil put into the cardboard tubes.
All the materials used for the box are inexpensive and can be recycled as well as reused in numerous ways. This product is sure to make learning more fun. [via]
