Have you ever thought about how cool it would be to have a watch, GPS and a heart rate monitor all packed in one ultra-useful gadget? Well, now you can get all that easily, with updated TomTom Runner GPS sport watch fresh on the market. According to President of TomTom Inc. Jocelyn Vigreux, “The TomTom Runner Cardio GPS sport watch allows runners to improve their performance with accurate, real-time metrics that help them understand how their bodies are responding to exercise.”

GPS watches aren’t a novelty on the market, but TomTom’s latest release introduces some cool features which aim to make it a whole lot easier for sports enthusiasts to monitor their vital statistics and athletic performance. In addition to the regular watch option, including 24-hour format display and alarm option, the Runner Cardio GPS sport watch features an integrated heart rate monitor that enables the wearer to train in the optimal heart zone in keeping with their training goal.

You can choose to train in one out of the set of five intensity zones: ‘Sprint’ designed mainly for interval training; ‘Speed’ for high-pace training to boost speed and fitness; ‘Endure’ which aims to improve heart and lung capacity; ‘Fat Burn’ which is ideal for weight loss; and ‘Easy’ which is highly suitable for warming up and cooling down. The watch will send prompt alerts in case the runner needs to slow down or step up speed in order to reach their target training zone. The gadget also features the TomTom Graphical Training Partner which serves as a motivational graphical virtual trainer and helps you achieve your most desired goals with minimum effort and time.

Your vital training information – including distance, pace, average pace, stride length, calories burned and lap times – are all measured in real-time and appear on an extra-large high-resolution display praised as extremely durable, scratch- and impact-resistant as well as waterproof up to 50 meters which promises accurate and reliable performance regardless of weather conditions.
