Through Bluetooth connection, you can also customize your Ambit3 watch, keep track of time, distance and GPS navigation on the fly, check smartphone updates and notifications and analyze sports performance metrics. On top of that, you can choose to download and use a range of sport-specific Suunto applications including the heart-rate monitor for zone training and heart rate recording during swimming. Thanks to the integrated Bluetooth chipset support, Ambit3 can also be paired with a range of Bluetooth Smart accessories such as Bluetooth Smart heart rate straps, power meters, running footpods, cadence-only cycling sensors or speed/cadence only cycling sensors.

Built to live up to the most demanding standards of toughest athletic training routines, Ambit3 Peak watch is a perfect wrist wearable for professionals and enthusiasts who like to monitor their progress in running, swimming, cycling and multi-sport arenas. Submersible to 100 meters and durable enough to stand some heavy multisport training, Ambit3 Peak also provides one more handy option – thanks to the recovery time based on daily activity monitoring, the Suunto’s latest watch can provide an estimate of optimum recovery time after a hard day of training.

All you have to do in order to access the Suunto Movescount application and turn your wristpiece into a multifunctional smartwatch is pair Ambit3 Peak with any Bluetooth-enabled 4.0 iOS device such as iPhone 4s, 5, 5c or 5s or iPad (3rd generation and above, plus iPad Mini and iPad Air, as well as iPod touch of the 5th generation). In addition to the already functional iOS application, Suunto announced that the Movescount Android version should be released some time in 2015. Once paired with your smart device, Ambit3 Peak and Ambit3 Sport will display some basic iPhone/iPad notifications in several different languages (English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Dutch, Finnish and Swedish). Apart from checking the basic call and text updates, Ambit3 will also allow you to upload your workout data, analyze some key stats and adjust watch settings via smart mobile connection. In case you’re going biking, you can mount your phone on the bars to serve as a second display for the watch data, and you can also use your smart device to take photos along the way which can later be accessed and geo-targeted through the Movescount app to display images coupled with info on speed, distance and other workout details. Through the accompanying application, you can also make a Suunto movie in the mode of 3D map animations with highlights and photos taken on your training session and share it instantly on your favorite social media networks.
