ST. REGIS ASPEN RESORT

see link

France has Val d’Isère, Switzerland has St. Moritz, Austria has Kitzbühel, Italy has Cortina, and the US has one and only Aspen, the most luxurious winter resort in the country, very popular with celebrities. And in it there is the St. Regis Aspen Resort, “a contemporary version of a Gilded Age mountainside manor”. The resort is located just a stone throw from Aspen’s best slopes, and just a few minutes from the local airport.

St. Regis Aspen will provide you with a complimentary airport shuttle service should you need one. The resort has two types of accommodation – the classic guest rooms and suites (Junior Suite, One Bedroom Suite & Loft Suite, Presidential Suite and Residence Club).

The guest rooms are decorated in the late-19th-century-mountain manor style. The floors are made from oak, and the rooms have bespoke furniture, including leather beds designed by none other but Ralph Lauren. The guest rooms have either one King or two double beds with soft 300-thread-count cotton bed linen. The bathrooms are bedecked with marble, some have fireplaces, and all of them come with a great view of the mountain.

Suites are also quite luxurious and extremely cozy. The One Bedroom Suites & Loft Suites range between 820 and 1,100 square feet in size, some even have two fireplaces, a very generously proportioned living area, a powder room and a bedroom with a King-size bed. The bathrooms are elegantly furnished with marble vanities, a shower and a deep soaking tub. Presidential Suite has everything you would expect from such suite – 2,000 square feet, high-end designer furniture, spectacular views of the mountain, a spacious king size bed and a 60-inch-flat screen TV. It emanates privilege from every corner.

The St. Regis Aspen Resort offers some fine dining too. If you want the best of the Italian cuisine go to ‘Trecento Quindici Decano’. Or you can go to Chefs Club where the menu is rotated on an annual basis and where FOOD & WINE editors customize wine and cocktail lists to go with updated menus.

If you want to end your day at the St. Regis Aspen Resort on a high note, pop over to the Remede Spa with its huge jacuzzis, a steamroom, and wonderful massages. The next day, you can indulge in some winter fly fishing, skiing or snowshoeing, or, weather permitting, whitewater rafting and tennis. [via] watch video below
