All lovers of unique watch designs will be glad to hear about the latest novelty in the horology market from SEVENFRIDAY– the P3-1 Industrial Engine. A combination of modern industrial aesthetics, uncommon visual complexity and outstanding functionality, the P3 will surely become an indispensable accessory in your daily outfit.
The square shape of the Swiss analogue timepiece is rather evocative of the ‘70s TV dials. Nevertheless, the face of the watch displays an unusually busy modern interface featuring a multi-layer dial consisting of 11 parts. The dial presents the impressive visual complexity of racing matte renderings of mechanical wheels and it was inspired by the motorcycle tire pattern. With the special minute hand functioning as an extended part of the mechanical movement, the aluminum animation ring with high resistant silicone coating replaces the typical design of hour and minute markers. The P3 runs a Japanese Miyota 82S7 movement with an open balance wheel. In addition to the main dial, there are two small rotating discs at 9 o’clock and 5 o’clock which serve as 24-indicator and small seconds, respectively.
The watch mechanism is enclosed in a stainless steel case with black PVD treatment and alternatively opalin, mat, diamond cut and satine finishing and it is protected by hardened mineral glass. The P3 measures 47mm top to bottom and 47.6mm across, and its solid built and water resistance down to 100 feet are an extra guarantee of lifelong service and all-time precision. The timepiece will sit comfortably on your wrist on a hand-made genuine leather strap.
A singular expression of balance between the contemporary and classic styles, the P3 wristwatch design draws on steel, engines, mechanical wheels, tools and industrial plants while still preserving the air of elegance and style. It’s not just a reliable timepiece – it is a chronograph taken to the new design limits which introduces a unique sense of harmony between the old and new industrial eras.
