After GoPro cameras became a worldwide success, many other companies jumped on the action cameras bandwagon. In terms of their tech-features things are pretty straightforward, so the design was one of the aspects various companies use to differentiate themselves from the others.
Still, unconventional design is not the only advantage of the Cube. It is packed with functionality. It is shockproof and water resistant, very rugged and durable, but it also provides you with 1080p HD video, 6MP photo quality with 124° wide angle lens.
The storage comes with MicroSD cards of up to 32GB. The Cube also has a magnet in its case which allows you to stick it to any metal surface safely and securely.
The Polaroid Cube is water resistant up to 2 meters, so it is perfect for a majority of water sports. If 2 meters isn’t enough for you, there is a waterproof case which extends its capabilities to 30ft. Other accessories include a helmet mount, monkey stand, suction mount, bike mount, tripod and strap mount.
However, the tiny size does bear some limitations. The internal battery gives you only 90 minutes of recording per charge. This isn’t much, but it is a bearable compromise, having in mind the size.
The Polaroid Cube will become available in September 2014 and the preorder price is $100. watch video below
