ORU COAST ORIGAMI KAYAK
Three years ago, Oru Kayak has made their dream of crowd-funding their foldable kayak, the Oru Kayak, a reality and after that spawned another version called the Oru Bay+. Oru Kayak is back with another type of these amazing origami kayaks, but this time they offer a 16 foot kayak which was inspired by traditional Arctic kayaks. This means more speed and more fun. It is called the Coast and along with presenting us with it, the fellas at Oru Kayak have designed an upgraded limited edition Coast Kayak called the Coast+, which has a few extra features. One of the best things about all Oru kayaks is that they are geared towards paddlers of all levels, so complete beginners don’t miss out on the great experience these kayaks have to offer.

Because it is 4 feet longer, the Our Coast offers more speed and more stability
Like we said, the Coast and Coast+ are 4 feet longer than the previous models which simply lets them cut through water and achieve better speed and stability thanks to its length. Weighing only 31 lbs and capable of collapsing into a box which measures 32 x 28 x 15 inches, you can take them, literally, anywhere with you.

It takes less than 10 minutes to assemble the Our Coast kayak
Coast+ weighs slightly more (34 lbs) due to the few additions made to it. Coast+ has ratchet buckles for even easier easy assembly, ergonomic seat for long paddles, thigh braces for control and comfort, full decklines and rigging for storage, and a folding hatch for gear storage.

The Oru Coast+ is easier to assemble and offers a lot of storage space for additional gear
Both of these new Oru kayaks are made from 2-layer polypropylene and offer professional performance once in the water. Oru Kayak has launched a successful Kickstarter campaign in order to get the funds for making these kayaks, and you can be a proud owner of the Coast for $1.650 and the Coast+ for $2.100. If you are a paddlesports enthusiast then this is the right kayak for you because of its portability and excellent performance.
