Sleeping under the stars is possible even if you are staying at a luxury hotel. And we don’t mean sleeping in a suite with a glass roof, but literally sleeping outdoors, at a penthouse’s terrace of Las Ventanas al Paraíso. This luxurious Rosewood resort, which name means ‘The Windows to Paradise’, is located in Los Cabos, a little town at the tip of the Baja California Peninsula, Mexico.
Since Las Ventanas al Paraíso is synonymous with hedonism, of course you won’t be given a sleeping bag to spend the night at the hotel’s terrace, but rather a comfortable king-size bed, a tub, and even a fireplace. If you want to marvel at the stars more closely, the hotel will provide you with a telescope.
You are probably wondering about the views from the hotel’s terrace, and, believe us, you won’t be disappointed. There is a spectacular 180-degree-view of the Sea of Cortez which is some 25 metres away. All penthouse suites at Las Ventanas al Paraíso come with rooftop verandas and personal spas. They also have huge walk-in closets, spacious bathrooms (stocked with Bvlgari Thé Vert toiletries) and several living rooms. The resort’s suites, all 71 of them, are decorated in the original Mexican artwork and have Conchuela limestone floors.
After you finish stargazing from your penthouse terrace, you might want to indulge in some fine Mexican cuisine. There are four great restaurants at the resort to choose from – ‘La Cava’, ‘The Restaurant’, ‘The Sea Grill’, and ‘Tequila, Ceviche and Sushi Bar’. But before you go to dinner, pamper yourself at Las Ventanas al Paraíso’s spa and wellness centre which provides holistic therapies and treatments inspired by the ancient medicine men of Baja and their fascination with the Four Elements.
Stargazing, king-size beds, sea view, sumptuous meals, wood-burning fireplaces and superb spa treatments… This just might be your ‘window to paradise’. watch video below
