MODEL ONE RADIO | BY TIVOLI

$121.50+

Oh, the good old radios and the wonderful sound of yesteryear they produce. If you cannot stand the latest, hi-tech, sterile Hi-Fis, Tivoli has the perfect radio for you called Model One. This is a high performance table radio with fantastic sound reproduction in a handmade wood cabinet. The radio’s FM tuner will do wonders for reception and clarity while its 3” throw driver ensures excellent tonal balance and bas response.

Do not be fooled by the radio’s retro exterior. This is a little technological wonder that has a superb quality of sound. The radio uses cell phone technology (GaAs MES-FET mixer) for enhanced clarity and reception while the 5:1 tuning ratio provides good channel tuning. The radio’s manufacturer Tivoli also says that the speaker is enhanced by a “multi-stage frequency contouring circuit that adjusts the speaker’s output over half-octave increments.”

Interestingly enough, Model One is perfectly compatible with your iPod or any other modern music device thanks to its 3.5mm auxiliary line in port. You can also use the radio as a component tuner, as well as plug in your headphones in the 3.5mm jack. Its tuning accuracy is also pretty impressive.

Tivoli Model One radio

Tivoli’s Model One Radio is designed by the famous audio engineer Henry Kloss, who unfortunately passed away in 2002. Kloss’s is known for understated style and elegant simplicity which are both noticeable in Model One. The radio’s is 7 inches high, 11 inches long and it weighs just 5 pounds. It is light and small enough to for your nightstand or dresser. Although it won’t give you earth-shattering sound, you will be impressed with the sound’s richness and depth. And you will definitely scratch your head wondering how on earth such a compact little box can produce such great sound. Model One is definitely the perfect combination of ‘old’ and ‘new’ school.
