There is one part of your body that always freezes during winter, regardless of how well and warm you are dressed, and that is your face. This is particularly true when the snow is coupled with gale force winds. We have found a solution for this aggravation and, although it looks like it has been designed by a visiting UFO crew, this piece of clothing is very practical, and, most importantly does the job. It is the Matt nylon hooded down jacket with built-in goggles that covers all of your face, but doesn’t hinder the wearer’s mobility or visibility. The jacket is created and designed by Giovanni Chicco for Ai Riders on the Storm, in collaboration with Comei & Co, and is available online at the company’s website, as well as at the website of the country’s premium retailer LuisaViaRoma.
The jacket’s goggles are actually detachable polycarbonate lenses which ensure excellent peripheral vision. The one-of-a-kind ergonomic hood also has mesh grate at ears and mouth, while the jacket has two-way zip front closure, and two external and internal zip pockets. The Matt nylon hooded jacket comes in seven colours and in seven different designs for men, and three designs and colours for women.
As far as the lenses go, they protect the eyes against UV400 rays and they are scratch-resistant. You can choose from six different coloured lenses – matte black, red, green, brown, purple and blue. The jacket is filled with goose feathers which have an excellent warmth-to-weight ratio.
Ai Riders on the Storm have even designed the Matt hooded jacket for kids –boys can choose from green and red, while girls’ jackets are available in purple and pink. watch video below
