LG ROLLY FOLDING KEYBOARD

$TBA

The Rolly Keyboard is LG‘s newest addition to the ever growing market of accessories for mobile devices. LG Electronics is pitching this product as the first solid, wireless, portable, folding keyboard for mobile devices and is planning to unveil it at IFA 2015 which will be held at the Messe Berlin, Germany from the 4th to the 9th of September.

LG Rolly Keyboard

A portable, solid, wireless keyboard for mobile devices

The LG Rolly Keyboard is designed as a 4 row QWERTY keyboard (unlike the traditional 6 row desktop keyboard) that folds up into a portable stick along those rows. LG has not disclosed the exact size of the keyboard yet, but claims that it can be easily fitted in a pocket, purse or suitcase. It has a 17 mm key pitch which makes it feel and act almost like a true desktop keyboard. Its polycarbonate and ABC plastic body makes it incredibly durable and impact resistant. At the back of it, the Rolly Keyboard has two foldable arms that act as a support for mobile devices (smartphones and tablets) with a maximum display diameter of 10 inches.

The connection is achieved via Bluetooth 3.0 which supports connectivity through the auto pairing function with two different devices that can be toggled between each other with one button. The keyboard is powered by a single AAA battery. Battery life is about 3 months (with average use).

The LG Rolly Keyboard will be available in September in the USA, while markets in Europe, Asia and Latin America will have to wait until the end of the year. Pricing and availability will be announced locally.
