Lego Technic has teamed up with BMW Motorrad to bring you one of their most functional pieces yet. Working in a close-nit design environment, Lego and BMW Motorrad have revealed their latest design, the Lego Technic BMW R 1200 GS adventure.
Even though this is only a model, Lego Technic and BMW took much care at ensuring that it functions much like the original.
The Lego Technic BMW R 1200 GS adventure also commemorates Lego Technic’s 40-year anniversary and will be available for sale early next year.
BMW enthusiasts will be extremely pleased to find that this motorcycle features movable handlebars and even an adjustable windscreen. This is in addition to a variety of miniaturized technical details that make up the motorcycle. BMW enthusiasts will also notice that this model comes with BMW’s authentic telelever front wheel suspension.
Besides that, this model comes complete with a drive shaft that activates the BMW motorrad 2-cylinder box engine. Essentially, Lego Technic has gone to great lengths to put an emphasis on how the bike works.
Overall, this model measures in at 18cm high, 33cm long, and 10cm wide (7.08 x 12.99 x 3.93 inches). Because of Technic’s anniversary, this kit will also include a specially designed LEGO piece. It will also come with an interactive LEGO app that will give you access to 3D assembly instructions. [via]
