Lamzac Hangout | Indoor/Outdoor Sofa That Sets Up In Seconds (VIDEO)

Just as we thought that nothing can replace the comfort and practicality of a bean bag, here comes Lamzac Hangout. You can call it a sort of bean bag; albeit it’s a much lighter and completely portable version. The Hangout is actually a seat or a sofa for two that you fill with air (it literally takes seconds) thanks to a one-of-a-kind, very simple technique as demonstrated in the video below.

Lamzac Hangout comes from The Netherlands and it is the brainchild of Marijn Oomen. Its name –Lamzac – is derived from the Dutch word Lamzak which means “a lazy person”. It is easily and quickly deflated, it takes virtually no storage space (it measures 7 x 14 inches when folded) and you can take it absolutely wherever you want to. Its application is quite versatile – you can use it for almost any outdoor activity: festivals, parties, lazing around on the beach, hanging out in the park, travelling, camping, barbecuing….

Lamzac’s designer Marijn Oomen appeared on a Dutch TV show “Best Idea of Holland”, a Dutch equivalent of “Shark Tank”, with the initial version of the product and came very close to winning. It was after the show aired, in 2010, that he decided to launch a company and showcase this great invention to the world. After six years of perfecting the prototype, Marijn is now very close to his goal since Lamzac’s launch date is set to May 2, 2016.

Lamzac Hangout will be available in seven colors.

In terms of quality, Lamzac Hangout is manufactured to last. It is made from durable nylon ripstop with maximum weight resistance of 200kg. The unfolded dimensions are (L x W) 200 x 90cm or 79 x 36 inches. Lamzac comes in seven colours – Aqua Blue, Black, Fuchsia, Grass Green, Olive Green, Purple and Red.
