If you’re fed up with the city heat and want to get away to cool down, enjoying the great outdoors might be a good solution for you. A mountain retreat, a nice forest hike, a quiet picnic by a river, or just a day at the beach could help you unwind and relax. The only problem is lugging refreshments (be it beer, juice or water) in your backpack. The solution to that problem could very well be the new Igloo All Terrain Cooler.
At first glance it’s a simple idea, putting wheels on a portable cooler, but nevertheless an idea that works well. The rugged, pneumatic wheels on this cooler help you pull it through uneven terrain on grass, sand or gravel. Igloo maintains that this way you use up to 80% less force than when carrying a conventional cooler.
It is available in three sizes – 100, 120 and 165 quart (95, 114 and 156 liters). The biggest cooler has a capacity of 288 12oz cans, and all the models can accommodate 2 liter bottles upright. The cooler itself has a foamed lid and body which helps it keep the contents cool for up to 7 days in temperatures as high as 32° C (90° F). The lid has an easy access hatch that lets you open the container while keeping the contents cool. The total weight of the cooler (empty) is 16.5 kg (36 lb). Basically, this is the perfect portable ice box for all manner of outdoor and indoor events.
