Saint-Tropez in France has always been the embodiment of old world glamour, charm, and decadently enjoyable times. What started off as a military base and an unassuming fishing village is today one of the the most elegant, beautiful, and captivating towns on the French Riviera. And hotels here are nothing short of amazing, including the Hotel Sezz. This is a modern five-star-luxury boutique hotel located only a few hundred metres from the centre of Saint-Tropez and the Place des Lices market.
The hotel has 35 rooms and 2 plush villas designed by Christophe Pillet, a long-time collaborator of the famous Phillipe Starck. Pillet said that, in designing rooms, he played with warm / cool feeling by using large paving stones for the floor to represent coolness, and leather / wood furniture to give a warm feel.
The rooms are called cocoons, and they all have outdoor showers and an ample-sized private terrace, while the villas come with a private swimming pool. As for the room amenities, the Hotel Sezz made sure that all preferences and needs are met. The rooms have air conditioning, a safe, a mini bar, Nespress coffee machine (in cocoons and villas), flat screen TVs, CD/DVD players, iPod base and mobile phones wih direct lines.
You can pamper yourself at the Sezz spa which has an outdoor massage area, or by swimming in a 200-square-metre outdoor swimming pool (with complimentary champagne, fresh olives, and nuts), or maybe soak in the Jacuzzi, or sweat it out in the steam room.
The hotel’s restaurant called Colette (named after Sidonie-Gabrielle Colette, the French female novelist) doesn’t dissapoint either. On the contrary! The flavours here are inventive, authentic, and refined. If you don’t believe us, just try trubot filet poached in lobster milk, braised endives with orange, lemon, and piquillos condiment, cherry tomatoes, and saffron flavoured spinach, and you’ll get the idea.
