HOTEL DANIEL | VIENNA
There is a good reason while Hotel Daniel has been dubbed “the top boutique hotel in Vienna”. Although very stylish, contemporary and almost spartan in design, it also exudes warmth, charm and hospitability. Located a stone throw from the famous Belvedere Palace & Museum and the central train station, the Daniel is the epitome of urban chic, professional service and comfort. The hotel spans six floors and has 116 rooms.
Hotel Daniel also has several quirky features which will leave you amazed. For instance, it has its own beehives on the rooftop, and the honey harvested from the beehives here is sold in the Daniel Shop, along with homemade shampoos. If you decide to rent one of the more luxurious rooms, you will be able to enjoy swinging in your own hammock while savouring spectacular views of the popular Prater big wheel which is dramatically lit at night.
Rooms here have exceptionally comfortable beds, soft duvets and puffy pillows. There are five types of rooms to choose from – Smart, Hammock, Panorama, Belvedere and Trailer (which is an actual on-site trailer). The accommodation is about less fuss and more emphasis on essential comforts. Another quirky feature of the Daniel is that it has no single rooms, just doubles (two have separate beds).
The Daniel’s signature restaurant – The Bakery – endorses urban gardening and uses fruits (apple trees are also grown on the hotel’s roof), vegetables and herbs from its own garden. The guests who have stayed at the Daniel say that the hotel’s homemade pastries are some of the most delicious they have ever tried.
