HONEYWELL LYRIC THERMOSTAT

Honeywell presents their first, among many to come, smart home device: Lyric Smart Home Thermostat. The thermostat has a round body, with only two buttons. It has a small LED display and when you change the temperature, a ring on the outer edge lights up the wall behind the thermostat: blue for cooling and orange for heating. The screen turns on when you are near the thermostat, so the light wouldn’t bother you when you don’t need it.

When you download the Lyric app to your tablet or smartphone, you can control the thermostat from any distance. The app is available for both iOS and Android. The system itself can check your location via GPS and adjust the temperature before you return from work, or arrange the temperature you prefer in the morning, when waking up. You can arrange heating schedules, and control practically everything through the app. Also, it will alarm you when filter changing is necessary. This thermostat is a money saver, since you won’t waste energy when nobody’s home, and you’ll never return to a cold house again.
