There are people, like yours truly, who, although dead tired, manage to stay awake for hours only with the help of strong cup(s) of coffee. Now, falling asleep in front of your computer might not be dangerous (the worst thing that can happen to you is having stiff back when you wake up), but falling asleep behind a wheel is a whole different thing. A hot cup of strong Italian espresso just might keep you awake! French company Handpresso, which produces innovative portable espresso machines, came up with a nice little gadget called Handpresso Auto E.S.E. which is essentially an espresso maker for cars.

The Handpresso Auto is very simple and virtually effortless to use. It is ideal for coffee breaks, whenever you feel like having one, or just for having a jolting cup of espresso on the go. How does it work?

Simply plug the machine into your car’s 12V cigarette lighter, add some water and an E.S.E. espresso bag of your liking, press the button, wait until the espresso maker makes three bleeps, and your smooth, delicious espresso is ready in only two minutes. The Handpresso Auto E.S.E. also comes with 25 paper cups.

This espresso machine weighs 880 grams and its dimensions are 22 x 10 x 10 cm. Because the machine brews coffee at 16 bars of pressure, the result is a very creamy hot beverage.

The Handpresso Auto espresso machine also comes with a storage box which, besides the espresso maker, contains two cups and a towel. The box can fit easily into the glove compartment.
