FOLDABLE SUNGLASSES | BY SUNPOCKET
Most of the best-looking sunglasses have their roots in ski and surf culture, and Sunpocket foldable sunglasses are no exception. These glasses had first gained a cult following in the French ski community in the late 1970s, and, in the space of only ten years, became incredibly popular across Europe. It is really not that difficult to conclude why – they are authentic, stylish, practical, innovative and well-designed.
Sunpocket has a wide array of foldable sunglasses to choose from including Sunpocket Tonga, inspired by the beautiful coastline of South Africa and designed for people with an active and exciting life style. The Tongas are one of those classic sunglasses that will probably never go out of style, fitting with just about any occasion or fashion style.
Tonga’s lenses are made from sturdy polycarbonate which provides 100% protection from UV rays, while the frame is made from ultra-light grilamid plastic. The Tonga comes in two versions – black / blue, with a blue-tinted lens, and tortoise, with a green-tinted lens. The silk drawstring pouch is included.
Sunpocket’s glasses are favourite among such greats as skater Eddie Lindkvist, surfer Robin Kegel, and professional free-ride skier Adam Widén, while the manufacturer claims that the Sunpocket glasses are “just the thing for skiing, surfing and awkwardly falling down staircases in nightclubs”.
