Founded in the early 1990s and located at the center of the Torres del Paine National Park, Explora Patagonia Hotel not only has a unique location but serves as a dreamy retreat. Besides the breathtaking views and comfortable suites, guests can enjoy in over 50 different guided hikes and horseback rides.
You can choose between 49 rooms that offer privacy, relaxation, and views of the surrounding landscape. The rooms are different in size and interior but what they all have in common is that they don’t have Internet or TV. That’s right, the philosophy of the hotel is the full disconnection from everyday routine. Of course, you’ll have access in the communal areas.
Speaking of the communal areas, there’s a massage room and pool area approximately 100 meters away from the main building. There, the guests can enjoy a heated, covered pool, sauna, four open-air jacuzzis as well as different essential oils massages. As for the food, it’s created to go along with the explorations, so you feel light, agile and healthy. The food is combined with Chilean wine that you can also try at the Explorer’s Bar, the meeting place for all tours.
The hotel has its own stable with 26 horses of different breeds. As for the adventure, you can cover the area either on foot, horseback, or by van. Each exploration includes groups of eight travelers, with one tour taking at least five days to complete. You’ll go through the park’s grassland and rivers and have lunch in the peaceful outdoor surroundings.
