What is the first adjective that comes to your mind when you hear the word ‘hostel’? Grubby? Cramped? Noisy? Overpriced? Bug infested? All of the aforementioned? You’d be pleased to know and surprised to hear that Czech Inn Hostel in Prague, the Czech Republic, is anything but.
This designer hostel has been voted one of the “Top 10 hostels in the world” by The Guardian Unlimited. Ryanair Magazine ranked it among the top 5 hostels that “won’t break the bank, but should”, while The New York Times described it as “upscale” and “stylishly decorated”.
Not to mention that Czech Inn is the only designer hostel in Prague and that it has been routinely rated as one of the best hostels in Prague. Apart from being très chic and très hip, Czech Inn is also clean, comfortable, spacious, and above all affordable. A total of 2,293 travelers gave Czech Inn a fantastic 90% score in the ‘value for money’ category on Hostel World.
The hostel is situated in a beautifully refurbished 19th century building, very close to Prague’s centre, in an area that is not too busy or swarming with tourists. Shops, restaurants and café bars are walking distance from the hostel which is also right off the tram 22 route, and not far from the bus terminal and main station.
Czech Inn boasts a wide array of different size and style rooms – from the usual dorms (with bunk beds) to apartments. There is a three-bed private suite with both a double and single bed and ensuite bathroom, or a five-bed private room that resembles a studio apartment, and comes with a compact kitchen and own bathroom. For large group visits, there is a comfortable 16-bed dorm.
Czech Inn has an in-house café that serves breakfast (Gourmet Breakfast unlike any other hostel) and snacks. The hostel provides complimentary Wi-Fi. You can also watch sports on a big screen TV, withdraw cash from an on-site ATM, leave your luggage in a secure room, and your valuable possessions in one of the safe deposit boxes.
If that’s not enough, the hostel’s management has gone a step further by organizing events such as an open mike night, quiz night, movie afternoons with free popcorn, comedy night, and art exhibition openings for guests.
Czech Inn also caters to people with disabilities since it has a lift and rooms especially adjusted to accommodate guests with special needs.
And how about the staff at Czech Inn?! They have been frequently praised for going out of their way to help, providing maps for guests, showing them where the most popular and lesser known sightseeing attractions are, and basically being available 24 hours a day.
Last but not least, there is the hostel’s décor. Czech Inn is really beautifully decorated in a contemporary minimalist style with warmth and elegance.
And with all that we have mentioned above, we guess it is safe to say that Czech Inn will be your hostel of choice when in Prague. watch video below
