Gearing up for outdoor fun is important so it’s good to get informed about the gear that can help you out in various situations. Outdoor Tech has launched a new multi-purpose device which has what we desire most of our gear nowadays, and that’s versatility. The name given to this piece of equipment, Buckshot Pro, suits it perfectly as it resembles a shotgun shell. The main function of this device is that of a Bluetooth speaker which features a passive bass port for more powerful sound. Building on its Bluetooth connectivity (which has a range of 32 feet), Outdoor Tech has added a microphone/speakerphone used for hands free calls. The speaker boasts 10 hours of playtime which is pretty spectacular. This brings us to its second, extremely useful, function – powerbank. If your phone runs out of juice while you are somewhere far away from a power socket, then you will be glad to have the Buckshot Pro there to help you out in a pinch.
It’s third function is a flashlight. Along with the Buckshot Pro, you will receive a flashlight attachment which you screw on the side opposite of the speaker. Buckshot Pro’s flashlight has three different operating modes: torch, lamp and strobe light (used when you are in a crisis). The multi-functionality of the Buckshot Pro is not its only strong suite.
It was built to withstand a lot of punishment so you don’t have to worry about dropping it as it is shock resistant. As a matter of fact, you can even drop it in water because it is water resistant too. The protection rating of the Buckshot Pro was given a high level, an IPX5 degree of protection. The guys from Outdoor Tech have even included a bicycle handlebar mount accessory, which keeps it tightly placed on your bike so you can listen to your favorite tunes and light up the path ahead of you.
Another amazing thing about the Buckshot Pro is its availability in six different colors: black, grey, red, orange, army green and glow in the dark option (for even more versatility). Our personal favorite is the red because of the aforementioned resemblance to a shotgun shell. Now, some of you might be deterred by its slightly steep price of $79.95, but paying this much for all of these features in an amazing and durable package is worth it.
