Rejected by local business rules, the blob VB3 became a portable office, instead of an addition to the Xfactoragencies department, as it was initially planned to be. This interesting structure is designed by the Belgian constructional firm dmvA.

The making of this project lasted 18 months. It resembles a giant white egg, and it’s made of several different materials such as wood, polyester and PUR insulation.

Its form was achieved by wrapping the wooden frame in stretching cloth, which was covered with polyester, and the void between the outer material and the shell was filled with PUR insulation.

This unusual house contains a kitchen, a bathroom, a bed, lighting, and several corners for keeping your things. The front part of the construction can be lifted, so you can use it as a porch. The vertical door is set on the right side of the house.

Maybe the best thing about the blob VB3 is its mobility. So, if you feel the need to escape from the city noise, maybe you should consider getting dmvA’s invention and move your office, guest room or garden house to a lovely getaway in nature.

As builder and part of the project team, the firm AD&C worked 18months on this project. Resulting in the egg like shell that is defining for the blobs look and feel.
