Danish company Bang & Olufsen has something new to offer: from the designer David Lewis come BeoPlay A8 AirPlay Speakers.

The speakers connect to your device: iPhone, iPad, or iPod, so you can both play your favorite music through AirPlay and charge your device at the same time. If you don’t have an iOS device, don’t worry, you can use wireless or Bluetooth to connect to the speakers. As advertised on their website, these 5-inch speakers have frequency range of 38.3 – 24,000 Hz. We can definitely expect good sound quality here, but what is interesting about Bang & Olufsen BeoPlay A8 AirPlay Speakers is their adaptation to the position in the room. You can use the wall bracket to hang the speakers on the wall, and then you only need to change settings to “wall” and the sound quality remains perfect.

The second option is to place the speakers in the corner. This is usually a bad idea, since the sounds bounce off the walls, but now we can set options to “corner” and our problem is gone.

And, of course, we have “free” settings when there are no walls or corners in the way, and we can turn the volume up. Adaptive Bass Linearisation (ABL) turns down the bass if it is too loud, so your favorite music is pleasant to your ears.

When it comes to the design, it is made of painted plastic, fabric, and aluminum, and can come in two colors: black or white. It is elegant and weighs only 4.25 kg.
