If you wish to escape a busy lifestyle, at least for a weekend, spending time in nature is always a good idea. This 1,740 square feet modern cabin can be a perfect weekend getaway and a heaven for photographers. It’s located on the banks of the Blaeberry River in British Columbia and it takes only a 20-minute drive to get to the nearest town, Golden.
The Pioneer Cabin was built by Form & Forestin in a contemporary style. It has warm tones, minimal interior design and a slanted roof that’s optimized for future photovoltaic system. This cabin can accommodate eight people. It has two bedrooms with queen beds and a sleeping loft with additional 2 queen beds.
The cabin has a spacious living room with huge windows that provide natural lighting. The dining area is big as well and include all basic kitchen appliances. Floor-to-ceiling windows offer a beautiful view of a forest, mountain and river surrounding the cabin. There’s also the indoor fireplace that can be used for chillier nights.
This cabin doesn’t have an internet connection, which is probably why it’s a real retreat. Nevertheless, the area offers a lot of options for spending time- exploring, canoeing, rafting, hiking. There are five National Parks located nearby and the town of Golden offers whitewater rafting and skiing. After a long day, you can also enjoy barbecuing, an extensive movie collection or many board games you can find in the cabin.
