2015 POLARIS SLINGSHOT

$19.999+

First of all, the 2015 Polaris Slingshot is not a slingshot at all. It is a truly astounding motorcycle, although some would argue that it is not a proper motorcycle due to its looks. Either way, it’s too damn fun.

It is a three-wheel motorcycle whose unique setup allows you to combine the best from driving a high-performance motorcycle and a high-performance sports car. It is powered by a 2.4l DOHC ECOTEC engine and paired up with a 5-speed transmission. The engine produces 173 hp and many would argue that this is not really racing material, but when you have in mind that it has only 1,700 lbs, things get a lot more serious. It employs a belt-drive system all of which should make the Polaris Slingshot very quick especially when it comes to acceleration. However, official numbers have not yet been released, but, looking at the numbers we have, it should be easy to guess why they decided to name it Slingshot.

2015 Polaris Slingshot

Fun is enhanced by the Slingshot’s extremely low centre of gravity. This low setup also makes the vehicle look very sporty and even dangerous. All in all, it seems that the designers have been very busy with this one. The Polaris Slingshot is very sharp-looking from every angle. The interior is similar, but also very practical. It is weather-proof – of course it is, since it’s a damn motorcycle – and it has two different versions.

The base model costing $19,999 has 17” wheels at the front and the single one at the back is 18”, while the SL trim level includes larger 18” wheels at the front and 20” at the back, along with some other perks such as windscreen which does an amazing job saving you from the wind, 4.3-inch LCD display in the central column, Bluetooth connectivity, very useful back-up camera, and an enhanced speaker system. watch video below
