Ziro is a robotics kit that you can control with the movement of your hand. It’s very simple to program and it reacts to a lift of your finger or a flick of the wrist.
Ziro is a modular robotics kit and it can include up to 8 modules. Each module uses 32-bit RISC CPU @80MHz processor and wi-fi to connect to the glove that operates it. Ziro is compatible both with iOS and Android. You can use it around 7 hours before you have to recharge it and it takes 2.5 hours for it to do so.
The smart glove uses the same processor and reacts to the movement of your hand. The first thing you should do is construct your design. You can build whatever you want with it. Ziro can have a 360º rotational movement but can also operate with a hinge.
In order to program it, use a smartphone app that’s very user-friendly. Just like we mentioned, it’s really simple to do so. All you have to do is select a hand gesture from 7 different ones and pair it to one of 7 module motions. Ziro is a great tool for those who study engineering, physics, and design but also for all technology enthusiast, kids and anyone who likes to explore the creativity.
Ziro is currently being funded on Indigogo so if you like what you see, you have one month left to get one for you. The campaign has been a success so far, so you don’t have to worry about not getting yours. watch video below
