WalkCar Electric Vehicle | Smallest Personal Vehicle In The World?

$TBA

People around the world are getting more and more invested in creating small and practical vehicles that will allow people to move around the city in an easy and cool fashion. We present you the WalkCar electric vehicle by Cocoa Motors. This company from Japan created a vehicle that imitates the famous segway, but it’s much smaller and lighter.

This vehicle is a platform, not bigger than an average laptop. It looks like a hoverboard, but instead of hovering, this vehicle moves around using wheels. Besides 4 small wheels, this gadget has a very light body completely made of aluminum so you won’t have any problems carrying it around after you finish your ride.

The WalkCar has a built-in battery that will provide you with 7.5 miles  (12 km) of range. You’ll also be able to charge this battery via USB and it will take approximately 3 hours for the battery to be fully recharged. In spite of its size, this electric vehicle is pretty powerful. The makers from Cocoa Motors are saying that this little gadget will be able to push a person in a wheelchair uphill if needed or to withstand a person that weighs up to 265 pounds (120 kg).

The WalkCar is very easy to use. Steering can be tricky at first, but it’s very simple when you get used to it. Basically, you just need to shift your weight during the ride. The WalkCar will accelerate when you step onto the platform. When it comes to breaking, this gadget will stop the moment you step off. It has a top speed of 6.2 mph (10 km/h), so it’s not too fast for sidewalks, which was a problem with Segways.

Unfortunately, there is no exact information when will this WalkCar be available, but some speculate that it’s going to hit the market in spring next year. There is also no information regarding the price, but the estimated cost will be somewhere around $800.
