1 – Arc’teryx Arcrux AR Mountaineering Boot
With the idea in mind to create the lightest, best fitting, extremely durable and completely waterproof boot, Arc’teryx set out to create the Arcrux AR Mountaineering boot. This boot, as the name suggests, was designed for mountaineering, ice climbing and mixed climbing and they did this with the comfort and volume of a single boot in a double boot. By utilizing their Adaptive Foot Technology, the Arcrux AR uses a removable bootie that is made out of stretch textiles that creates an instant custom fit without any pressure. To aid in breathability, the bootie has a GORE-TEX membrane that assists the climber in both climate control and waterproofing while the perforated PE foam allows quick drying in the case that it does get wet. The bootie also has a rubber sole so that it can be used as a camp shoe. The gaiter (protective outer covering) needed to be tough, abrasion resistant and needed the ability to eliminate potential damage from rocks and other dangers; by utilizing a Laminated Watertight™ construction and using the superbly breathable GORE-TEX, they managed to do all of that and offer you the most impressive protection. The outsole was especially developed by Vibram® to create the best support and sure footedness by featuring anti-slip grooves, a semi-blocked toe, a medial climbing support zone and the heel has been designed to provide braking on steep descents. All of this together is pretty awesome but the Arcrux AR just looks awesome as well.

2 – Berghaus Hyper Shell Jacket
Understanding that a jacket that is both lightweight and warm is what many people require on their camping trips, hiking and early morning jogs, Berghaus went out and created, what they claim to be, the world’s lightest full zip waterproof jacket. Weighing in at an astonishing 3.5oz (100 grams) for a men’s XL, we certainly believe that they could have achieved that. They did this by making the Hyper Shell Jacket a minimalist jacket, meaning that it has no pockets, the hood isn’t adjustable and it doesn’t have a wire brim. However, the Hyper Shell is an extremely breathable waterproof jacket and they managed to do this by using a 100% polyamide construction and a durable polyurethane coating. Its waterproof rating stands at 15,000mm and its breathability is at 10,000g/m2/24 hours. That’s pretty impressive if you ask us. Apart from that and realizing that a heat exchange needs to take place effectively for joggers, they added reflective heat transfer that allows for additional cooling while you are on the move. The Hyper Shell also comes with its own storage bag so that you can take it with you wherever you go.

3 – Jetboil Genesis Camp Burner System
On any camping trip it is a necessity to have a good cooking system but these can both be heavy and extremely cumbersome. To overcome these issues, Jetboil created their Genesis Camp Burner System that is lightweight, easy to carry and efficient. The system also comes with its own 5 liter FluxPot and 10” frying pan. The 5 liter FluxPot has been specially designed to increase efficiency by utilizing the Jetboil base that gives you excellent simmer control with the least amount of gas while the 10” frying pan has been coated with ceramic which is both eco-friendly and gives you an excellent non-stick coating. Transport is extremely easy since all the parts fit into one another; you fold the stove in half which then fits into the FluxPot, the FluxPot lid fits over the burner and the frying pan fits over all of them as the main lid. 7 – Moonwalk Sleeping Bag
The general misconception is that all sleeping bags can be used directly on the ground. Actually, quite a few of them don’t come with a waterproof bottom meaning that they are highly likely to soak in the moisture from the ground and make your sleeping experience, well, a soggy one. This couldn’t be further from the truth with the Moonwalk Sleeping Bag, designed by NEMO. Apart from its lightweight design, the Moonwalk also has a waterproof foundation ensuring that you can put it safely on the ground. Additionally, the pad sleeve loads from above which increases the bag’s waterproof quality. The bag also has a practical tub design and is perfect for cyclists and hikers alike. It weighs only 2 pounds and 2 ounces and is filled with the 700-fill-power down to keep you warm and cozy even when the temperatures plummet to 30 degrees Fahrenheit. The bag’s down absorbs 30% less moisture and dries 60% faster than untreated downs. Furthermore, the Moonwalk Sleeping Bag comes with a drawstring collar which closes in body heat. It is currently available in one color combination – granite / lightning yellow, and one size – regular. The Moonwalk is made from strong 20-denier ripstop nylon and measures 72 inches in length with the shoulder girth of 62 inches and hip girth of 58 inches. When packed, it measures only 8.5 x 16 inches.

9 – G-SHOCK MRG-G1000DC-1A Watch by Casio
When a company has been producing wristwatches for exactly 70 years, like Japan-based Casio, quality is guaranteed. Their newest launch – MRG-G1000DC-1A – is probably one of the toughest watches produced as yet. With 200-metre / 20-bar water resistance, titanium alloy case & band and high shock resistance, this is a watch made for outdoor aficionados and adventurers. The titanium alloy (6-4) that the MR-G is made from is actually harder than pure titanium and its shock resistance is further improved thanks to titanium-carbide processing. The features of this stylish watch are too many to cite here but we’ll mention just a few that impressed us the most. The MR-G is solar powered and also has a LED light with a super illuminator. It comes with the GPS and time calibration signal reception. It shows time in 40 different time zones. Additionally, it has a countdown timer, daily alarm, power saving mode, low battery alert, full auto-calendar (to year 2099), and a ±15 seconds per month accuracy. Its battery operated time is 7 months when in normal use and 18 months when stored in total darkness with a power save function on. The battery is rechargeable.
