Work meetings can be excruciatingly boring. Let’s not even talk about uncomfortable chairs that you have to sit on for long periods of time until your boss finally decides that your back is stiff enough, and your attention has definitely slipped away. Imagine if you had the Swing Table, designed by Christopher Duffy of Duffy London. Dull board meetings would definitely be thing of the past.
With the Swing Table, the designer has thought of a great way to bring playfulness into offices and dining rooms. The table has a faceted geometric lampshade and 4,6,8 or 12 chairs hanging from the four-poster frame. This is a clever combination of a swing set and a four-poster bed with each chair swinging individually. The Swing Table is made of sturdy powder-coated steel and comes in a range for colours and finishes.
Another important thing to bear in mind is that the Swing Table is made from ethically procured wood from the forests managed by Stewardship Council.
Oh, yes. The table has one more practical feature – “it makes vacuuming a breeze”, the designer says.
