SPYDERCO DOG TAG FOLDING KNIFE

The Spyderco Dog Tag folding knife is a useful and portable blade suitable for every day use. It’s not the typical folding knife construction we are used to. Instead, Spyderco has opted to use one of Serge Panchenko’s custom designs which gives it a unique line and the shape of a military dog tag (when closed).

The handle is made from titanium and has an aluminum back strap that secures the blade in both the open and closed position. This means that this knife does not have a locking mechanism, and users should take care when using it. The strap also conceals the blade in the closed position and provides protection from the edge. The blade is attached to the handle with a spring bar that houses the blade detent mechanism through a steel ball bearing system.

The blade is made from stainless steel in a stonewash finish with a sheepsfoot-style edge. The length of the blade is 1.23 inches, while the overall length of the knife is 3.23 inches when open and 2 inches when closed. This model has a black anodizing finish on the handle, as well as the back strap and the spring mechanism.
