SOFT LIGHT LAMP AND PILLOW | BY SIMON FRAMBACH

Simon Frambach is a German product designer and Soft Light is not the first of his products that can be used for illumination, but it is definitely unique and conspicuous. This soft, pumpkin shaped product gives off soft light, but its nature lets it be used as a crevice filling device, or a simple pillow.

The Soft Light lamp is made of foamed polyurethane and its shape was acquired by using rotation milling. Even though the lamp itself can be squeezed and pressed, the light bulb inside it is protected from breaking by a cage. The power comes through a red cord that comes out through the lamp’s narrow part.

Its shape and mobility make it a very versatile product that can be used as a warm and pleasant pillow, but also as a design feature that can delicately illuminate any part of the room and be placed between any object and a wall, or two objects, without fearing that it will get broken or damaged.
