In our pursuit for amazing EDC items, we have found something very interesting, the Screwdriver Mini +|-. This nifty little tool was designed by Screwpop, a company which designs and makes the best “clippable” keychain tools and the Screwdriver Mini +|- is their latest creation which is currently undergoing a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter. This small tool, and it is a very small tool, measures 5/16″ x 1 1/8″ x 2 3/8″ and weighs just .7 oz. It’s hardly any bigger from most keys you have on your keychain, which makes it very appealing as an EDC item.

Materials and Design

The Screwdriver Mini +|- is as small as a standard key, and because it’s made from zinc alloy, it is also very light

The Screwdriver Mini +|- is made from a zinc alloy, which makes it very sturdy and is responsible for its light weight. Apart from being as small as a key, this tool is also shaped like one. This will make it fit on your keychain even easier. The Screwdriver Mini +|- is available in two finishes. black nitride and chrome (only the main body of this tool is available in these finishes).

Functions

As for its functions, the Screwdriver Mini +|- has three. The first and most obvious one is that of a screwdriver. It’s equipped with a 2 in 1 Philips/flathead screwdriver bit which you can easily remove depending on which one you need. But the bit will stay in place because the shaft of the Screwdriver Mini +|- is magnetic (neodymium magnet). This “clippable” tool can also be used as a bottle opener, something that will come in handy sooner than you may think.

The people at Screwpop wanted to challenge themselves and redefine what a screwdriver should look like and how large it should be, and with the Screwdriver Mini +|- they have definitely pushed a few boundaries.
