POC SPINE VPD 2.0 MOTORCYCLE JACKET

The VPD 2.0 is a motorcycle jacket made by POC. These jackets are a lot different from the traditional garments due to the fact that protection is imperative here, so they are much sturdier.

However, harder build usually means that comfort or mobility need to suffer. Well, not with the Spine VPD 2.0. While providing full protection for your back, chest, elbows and shoulders, this motorcycle jacket also gives you great freedom of movement and all of that in a small and convenient package.

It is made of VPD (Visco-Elastic Polymer Dough) foam that is polymer-based. This foam is extremely flexible and adapts to your body thus fitting perfectly. This flexibility, however, does not mean that the foam is not hard. In fact, it stiffens upon impact and greatly increases protection. How effective it is, you can see from the fact that it is rated to the highest motorcycle safety standards.

The jacket also features 3D molded shoulder and elbow pads, latter of which are covered with a stretch fabric that is reinforced using Kevlar.

Your chest will be protected by 3-ply VPD 2.0 that is surprisingly comfortable and even the zipper is asymmetric for additional protection.

The back protection comes from 3D molded VPD 2.0 that surpasses the highest level of the motorcycle standard 1621-2 Level 2.

Ventilation is also important with motorcycle jackets, and the guys form POC thought about this as well. The stretch mesh fabric deals with ventilation and it is greatly aided by perforations on the protectors.
