MAAFUSHIVARU ISLAND RESORT | MALDIVES

If there is one tourist destination that we never tire of writing about, it’s the Maldives. Maafushivaru is a tiny island – only 500 metres long, and it will take you just over ten minutes to walk across it. Despite its minute size, the resort has 48 beautiful thatch-roofed villas designed in three different styles.

The biggest villas span almost 116 square metres (1,250 square feet).

Another wow factor in the Maafushivaru resort is food and drink. The food here is international, but with added local flavours. On Tuesdays, the resort’s chefs have ‘The Maldivian Night’ when you can taste the best of local dishes.

There are also organized trips to the Lonobu Island where you can snorkel with manta rays, turtles, and tropical fish. You can also sail on a catamaran or learn how to windsurf. After a fun packed day on and around the Lonobu Island, you should pay a visit to the resort’s spa which is set on the water and boasts a stunning view of the lagoon.
