All of us have at least once wanted to lock our kitchen door, just in case of night cravings. Or maybe, you have kids and you don’t have any ideas where to hide candies and sweets before lunch. Well, that’s why smart and creative people made Kitchen Safe, a time-lock container. So, how does this safe actually work?
It can be used for a lot of things such as food (when you are on a diet) or phones (when need time to study and don’t want to be distracted and many more). It is also a great storage place for your cigarettes if you are trying hard to quit smoking. Our willpower is strong but often not as strong as we need it to be. Make smart choice earlier if you already know that you will be tempted later.
Put food, toys, gadgets or any other thing that you want to have so badly right now but you shouldn’t have it, set the timer by a rotating button (it can be set to periods ranging from one minute to ten days), and that’s it. You have only five seconds to change your mind, and after that, the container stays sealed and cannot be opened until the countdown is over.
It looks like any other kitchen container, made from thick, but strong, high-quality material that is BPA free for your maximum safety, and this makes Kitchen Safe great for food storage or your kid’s toys. The walls of the Kitchen Safe are three times thicker than in most regular kitchen containers and it has large monitor that shows remaining time. The locking mechanism is run by motor and the batteries last six to twelve months. Measuring 6 x 6 x 6.5 inches, the Kitchen Safe is another successful project that managed to raise funds on Kickstarter.
The Kitchen Safe is available for $49 per single unit – or, you can get three items for $98 on their website. And that is just the beginning, according to Kitchen Safe inventors, Ryan Tseng and David Krippendorf: the team behind the Kitchen Safe is thinking big and they want to “help hundreds of millions of people achieve their goals by providing them with the knowledge and the tools that will help them utilize and improve their own will-power and self-control.”
