JAPANESE WOODEN OFURO TUB

Traditional Japanese design is famous for its elegance, clean lines and synergy with nature. The Japanese are also known for their hot tubs or Ofuro, as they call them. Many Ofuro tubs come with built in benches so that you can sit in the most comfortable position and enjoy your deep soak. Also, Japanese Ofuro tubs are shorter and deeper than regular western tubs thus they use less water and, because of the reduced space, the water keeps warm longer.

The Ofuro tubs are made of natural wood. Often that is Hinoki, aromatic wood known for its strength and exquisiteness, as well as Red Cedar and Teak. They can be round or elliptical in shape with maximum water depth of up to 37 inches. The tub measures 48’’ in diameter and is 30’’ tall.
