Casio G-Shock Frogman | The Perfect Diving Watch
There are several features that are associated with Casio’s wristwatches – toughness, precision, ingenuity, aesthetics and craftsmanship – and the company’s G-Shock range certainly fits the description. Today, we are featuring the Frogman G-Shock GF-1000-1DR diving watch which is an absolute must-have any diver and outdoor enthusiast.
Casio really outdid themselves with the Frogman. This is a watch that is packed full of useful and innovative features. The case is made from stainless steel that provides 200-metre water resistance and, as such, is perfect for divers. This watch also features a high precision pressure sensor that gives you accurate and real-time data on your depth as well as the patented G-Shock Triple Sensor technology.
The lens is made from sapphire crystal glass and it also has LED backlighting. Apart from that, the Frogman provides time in thirty-one different time zones (48 cities) in addition to coordinated universal time with ± 15 second accuracy. It can measure dive time in one-second-increments plus it has three measuring modes – elapsed time, split time and first / second place time countdown timer, and a calendar up to year 2099. If you struggle to get out of bed, the Frogman also offers four one-time alarms and one snooze alarm.
The G-Shock Frogman is a solar-powered watch with a rechargeable battery that can last up to 10 months without exposure to light. It comes with a 2-year-warranty, and although some users report that it is heavier than other G-Shock watches, it still feels comfortable on the wrist. It weighs 115gr (4 ounces) and measures 58.3 x 52.8 x 18 mm (or 2.29 x 2.07 x 0.7 inches).
