If you’re seeking for a perfect retreat, we’re glad to tell you that thanks to Airbnb, you can now rent Casa Tiny. This one bedroom house is located in Puerto Escondido, Mexico and was inspired by Henry David Thoreau’s “Walden”. The house itself was finished in late 2014 by architect Aranza Arino and director Claudio Sodi.

The house is not only minimal in space but in the design as well. It was constructed out of concrete, with the walls left raw both on the outside and inside. Besides the concrete, another key material is the native parota wood used for the doors, windows, closets and shelves.

It was designed by the architect Aranza Arino and director Claudio Sodi. They were inspired by Thoreau’s “Walden”.

The philosophy behind it is the ultimate escape from society and a busy lifestyle. Here, you’ll be tucked into a peaceful surrounding, just a 30-minute drive away from Puerto Escondido, an iconic surfing village. There, you can grab dinner and get supplies.

Besides the pool, there’s a private beach just five minutes from the house.

The house can accommodate two and besides the bedroom, it has a nice bathroom and kitchen area. Probably the most impressive feature is the private secluded ocean beach just five minutes away. Since it can get quite hot, guests can always relax in the pool just behind the house, read a book on a hammock in the shade, make pizza in the brick oven and eat tropical fruits like papayas, oranges and mangoes.
