€100.000

If you ever got stuck in the middle of a snow blizzard, swamp or huge mud pool, you know that all the horsepower packed inside your beloved four-wheeler is not enough to get you out and deliver you safely back to civilization. But despair not – there’s a new vehicle on the global market that promises to overcome all marshes, swamps, sand dunes and snowdrifts with no trouble at all. Recently announced by Russian truck producer Avtoros, Shaman 8×8 All-Terrain Vehicle is designed to conquer quite nearly any terrain thrown its way – and here’s how.

Avtoros Shaman 8x8 ATV

Equipped with eight large wheels instead of the regular four (or six as found in a few heavy-duty trucks), Shaman was built to conquer the unforgiving Russian terrains characterized by steep climbs, heavy snow piles and deep quagmires. On top of its outstanding ground-borne performances, Shaman has a completely sealed chassis optimized for floatation so it can also act like an amphibious vehicle when needed, achieving speeds of up to 7 km/h (4 mph) thanks to its hydraulically driven propeller located on the back. Fitted with an Iveco F1C 3.0-liter turbo diesel engine and ZF 6 S 400 six-speed manual gearbox, Shaman boasts some solid 146 horsepower although its top speed totals as few as 80 km/h (50 mph) – that’s because the Avtoros’ ATV is not made for bump-free paved roads. Quite the contrary, this rugged Russian giant shows its true colors on the tough, off-road terrains such as frozen tundras and demanding mountain climbs.

Topped with 1.2 x 0.5 meter low-pressure optimized tires which can be adjusted by a switch found the driver’s cabin, each of Shaman’s eight wheels are powered at all times (that’s why they call it 8×8 after all). But that’s not all – believe it or not, each axle also sports independent steering for some kinky maneuverability options. Namely, Shaman 8×8 ATV comes with three steering modes: the first is the on-road or cruising mode when steering is done by front four wheels, then there’s also the off-road mode with active rear wheel steering, where front and rear wheels are set in the opposite directions for a sharper turning radius and lastly, the crab-mode where all wheels are steered sideways, allowing the truck to move like crabs do. On top of all that, Shaman is also capable of scaling 45-degree inclines – now, that’s a feature you’ll find mighty handy when braving the Russian mountainous wilderness.

When it comes to dimensions, you’ll have to admit this Russian monster-truck is truly gigantic: measuring 6.2 meters in length, 2.5 meters in width and 2.7 meters high, Shaman weighs slightly around 2.5 tons and features a 1.5 ton payload capacity. In other words, this ultimate ATV is roomy enough to take in 10 adult passengers without having to compromise on comfort, and it’s said to be quite easy to drive too.

According to the producer, each Shaman eight-wheel ATV takes around two months to manufacture and assemble, and there’s also a lot room for customization so you can get yourself the ultimate monster-truck after your own taste and needs. So, if you want to make sure you truly take every obstacle in your stride, order Shaman today and hit the road of ultimate challenges without fear. watch the video below
